Step-by-Step Instructions for Downloading
If you use a BlackBerry® model: 8100 series (Pearl), 8300 series (Curve) or 8800 series, follow these steps:
NOTE: The APPRISOR™ Viewer requires you have a media card installed in your BlackBerry® Device to run. If you have a prior version of the APPRISOR™ Viewer installed, uninstall it before installing a newer version
To install using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager:
- Download the .zip file above and extract the contents to a folder on your desktop.
- Start BlackBerry Desktop Manager and be sure your device is connected.
- In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click on Application Loader.
- In the Application Loader Wizard, click Next until you get to the Device Application Selection screen.
- In the Device Application Selection screen, click Add.
- In the Open dialog, navigate to where you extracted the files from the zip, select the APPRISOR.alx file, then click Open.
- APPRISOR™ should then appear checked in the list in the Device Application Screen. Click Next.
- The wizard then shows "Completing the Application Loader Wizard". Click Finish to have the Application Loader begin the installation.
- Next, on the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager, click on Media Manager.
- Use the Media Manager to locate the additional two ".PDB" file documents included in the downloaded ZIP file.
- Use the Media Manager to copy the ".PDB" files (the Quick Start Guide and Meeting Guide) to your BlackBerry's Media Card; choose to "copy with no conversion."
To Run APPRISOR™ on BlackBerry®
- Locate and open the APPRISOR™ Viewer application [need icon], select [ALL] (any installed documents will show).
- Roll the BlackBerry® trackball to the right to switch from the APPRISOR™ Categories View to the Folder View.
- Selected the location where the documents were downloaded (for example, "Media Card").
- Select the name of a document to open it.
- We recommend you open the QuickStart Guide first for tips on how to navigate APPRISOR™ documents.
